In Return To Tomorrow, Captain Kirk died at one point, and his body was placed on total life support. McCoy had the assistance of two unnamed women as this desperate procedure was performed. It may be presumed that they are nurses, but they might be junior doctors, or medical technicians of another sort. Certainly they are vital medical support personnel.
They apparently were competant. The procedure was successful, and McCoy had no complaints.
