We met Luma of Sigma Draconis 6 in Spock's Brain. On that planet, the Eymorg (women) rule the world, and the Morg (men) are slaves, at best.
Luma was the first Eymorg to encounter Kirk's party once they had penetrated Queen Kara's lair. Kirk stunned her with a quick phaser blast, then McCoy revived her so Kirk could interrogate her.
She was completely confused by Kirk's appearence.
Luma (honestly flummoxed): "You are not Morg, you are not Eymorg. What are you?"
Apparently Luma thought that Kirk was neither male nor female, but perhaps something else entirely.
